Education Planning
Rising education costs continue to be a burden for many families. In it’s most recent survey of college pricing, the College Board reports that a moderate college budget for an in-state public college for the 2017-2018 academic year averaged $25,290. A moderate budget at a private college averaged $50,900. These costs can be debilitating at first glance. We are committed to helping families prepare for education costs early on in a child’s life. When warranted, we also facilitate gifts from other family members to make contributions to a child’s education account. Planning for future education involves:
*Evaluating education funding needs
*Putting a plan together to target lump sum and/or monthly contributions to meet goals
*Implementing proper savings vehicle such as a 529 plan, Coverdell Education Savings Account or a Custodial Account. (UTMA)
While the costs of higher education may seem overwhelming, getting a plan in place provides peace knowing that funds will be available when needed.
